This car is sweet. Its got a full turbo 280zx swap including the motor, trans, and diff. The downfall of this car was the exhaust system. It had a thrown together exhaust made from crush bends, and poorly welded parts store steel pipe. But the main problem was how low it hung. The pipe hung so low it was flattend and leaking from hitting the ground.
I built and brand new from scratch exhaust for this beautiful Datsun. Using 304 Stainless Steel piping with mandrel bends, I tig welded up a free flowing and tight fitting system. A 3/8” thick double flange bolts the exhaust to the downpipe. That leads to a Vibrant flex joint to keep things from moving around and cracking. Out back is a Vibrant 12” muffler attached by a V band for easy changing later. The whole system is finished off with a straight cut 3.5” tip. We gained 2” of ground clearance and provided the customer with a great looking, great sounding exhaust that will give him years of performance.
